The Midlothian Village Day Festival is held each year on a Saturday in October. There is no cost for admission to the Festival.
Games and inflatables are available for the children. Tickets must be purchased from the MJWC Ticket Booth. Prices are 50 cents to a dollar for each game or inflatable.
Food is available for purchase from concession stands located in the gymnasium parking lot. There is an assortment of food to choose from: usually there are hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, sodas, etc. Cost ranges from $1 to $5 (approximately). Take a look at the Food Vendors page for a listing of food available at this year's Festival!
Live entertainment occurs throughout the day. We have had bands, jump rope groups, gymnastics teams, martial arts demonstrations and more. Check out the stage and see who's up next!
Area crafters and retail consultants have booths in front of the school building. Please browse through their wares and get some of your holiday shopping out of the way early. Crafter booths have hand-made items and retail goods - go to the Crafters page to see a list.
The Midlothian Junior Woman's Club sponsors a Silent Auction to benefit the Mylicia Markham Leadership Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded each spring to an area high school senior girl who is attending a 4-year college the following fall. Scholarship recipients exhibit a strong leadership role in their community, as well as dedication to community service. The Silent Auction is at the MJWC Ticket Booth.
The Festival is sponsored each year by the Midlothian Junior Woman's Club. The Midlothian Junior Woman’s Club is a civic organization dedicated to philanthropic efforts in a wide variety of areas. MJWC is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and meets at Winfree Baptist Church September through June. Women over age 18 are encouraged to visit our website at http://www.midlothianjuniors.org or to contact Mandy at join-at-midlothianjuniors-dot-org. The proceeds from the Festival support the Cinderella Dreams Project and are donated to community organizations such as Richmond Friends of the Homeless, Warren's Hope (a non-profit group dedicated to helping children with special medical needs), the YWCA women's shelters and many more. Your support, as a patron, food vendor, crafter, entertainer or Festival attendee, enables us to give back to our community. We thank you!
